GARDENA, California, October 5, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Next Level Apparel (âNLAâ) today announced a phishing email incident involving a small number of email accounts in its IT environment.
The phishing email incident resulted in unauthorized access to information in some email accounts including names with social security numbers, financial / control account numbers, payment card numbers, limited driver’s license numbers and medical / health information.
The NLA investigated unauthorized access to a limited number of employee email accounts. The investigation determined that an unauthorized person had access to the contents of the accounts at various times between February 17, 2021 and April 28, 2021. While the NLA cannot confirm that a person’s information has in fact been accessed by an unauthorized person, the NLA is issuing this notice to notify individuals of this incident and provide recommendations on how to protect personal information.
At October 4, 2021, the NLA began sending letters to people whose information was involved in the incident and for whom the NLA has address information. NLA also provides this notice to persons whose information may have been involved but for whom NLA does not have an address. The NLA has also set up a dedicated call center for people to call with questions about the incident. To prevent this sort of thing from happening again in the future, the NLA is implementing additional security measures.
