Consorsbank, based in Germany, announced the offer of a new current account called “Unlimited” for its customers.
The Unlimited current account should complement Consorsbank’s current range of accounts. The offer includes a Visa Card Gold (Charge Card) and a Girocard (VPay). With the Visa Card Gold, users can pay for free anywhere in the world and withdraw cash at any ATM bearing the Visa logo.
Additionally, Unlimited users get an insurance package, which includes a travel insurance package, a shopping package with internet protection and goods delivery protection, as well as mobile phone protection. The monthly charge for the current account is EUR 9 and overdraft interest is 6.5%. However, the account is free if the account holder is under 28 years old, or if the monthly cash inflow is more than 700 EUR. If this sum is not reached, it costs 4 EUR per month.
The account includes a Visa debit card and for a fee of EUR 1 per month a Girocard (VPay) can also be booked. Now, Consorsbank customers can also deposit their Visa Card and Visa Card Gold for contactless payment with many mobile devices. Garmin Pay, Swatch Pay, Fitbit Pay and Fidesmo Pay can then be used to pay in stationary retail. Consorsbank customers have already been able to use devices that work with Apple Pay or Google Pay.
