I’m a 30-something child-less, unmarried (but i do have a boyfriend) ABC, born in Texas and still in Texas. I’m originally from ELP, but I’ve been living in the DFW area for over a decade now.   I work in the nursery of a local hospital.  I love my job.  I love my co-workers.  I’m truly blessed w/ where I work.

I learned how to knit when I was 8 yrs old.  I asked my mom to teach me when I saw a picture of a sweater on needles in a Japanese soap craft book.  My mom tried to help me, but I didn’t understand that she didn’t know how to knit.  So i took a pretty pair of pink chopsticks that i never used b/c they were too pretty to eat with, and I went and asked my friend’s crafty mommy.  She taught me how to cast-on, knit and purl.  I never made anything worthwhile when i was that age.  I would just knit long strips of garter stitch and then put them away.

Back in 1999, I decided I wanted to make myself a scarf for some one-day freeze that happened here in DFW.  I picked up the needles again and never put them back down.
I have a group of knitting friends that I see at least once a week who I cherish as much as I cherish my own family. These ladies have made me happy that i decided to stay in the DFW area. If I had left when i was feeling down and not liking it here a few years ago, i never would have met them and I never would have been blessed with their friendships. Thank you, ladies.

My other hobbies include reading, photography, sewing, watching crap TV, computers computers, cooking, baking, and just hanging out w/ friends and having a good time.

this blog is here for me to blog about knitting, crochet, purses and some tidbits about my life. It’s not all that awesome or hilarious. But my friends seem to dig it and I enjoy having place where I can show some of the things i knit…because HEY! We take the time to sweat, toil and create something beautiful with our hands. We need to have a place where we can show them off and get a bit a praise for them! Am i right? tee-hee….It’s not bragging if you knit it.
