  • HAPPY NEW YEAR! OH yeah….it’s Thursday! :)

    1st January 2009

    HelloKittyNewYear1.jpg

Did you guys watch the ball drop?  Did everyone spend it partying it up like it was 1999?  (BTW, OMG…taht was almost 10 years ago!)

I did nothing.  The plans I originally had fell thru, so I decided to just chill at home and knit and play some Rockband 2. :)    Which I did do.  It was pretty awesome. :)

It’s now 2009!  Wow.  2008 flew by so fast!  I feel so old saying that, but it did!  Alot of my friends have been saying “Good riddance to 2008…” for many good reasons.  Some of them lost loved ones (I’m so sorry), some of them lost pets (I’m so sorry), some have had health problems, some have had financial problems, etc etc.  Here’s to hoping that 2009 is a much better year for everyone.

I don’t do resolutions anymore either.  I always feel like a failure when I can’t acheive them.  So what I’m going to do this year is reflect on the good things that happened to me in 2008 and just be happy about that. :)

I have to admit that 2008 was one of the best years of my life.  not THE best, but it was good to me.   Here are some of the highlights:

    • I bought my first home and have loved every min of living here.
    • Since my brother has his own room at my house, I’ve seen him alot this year!
    • I feel that as my first year of being in my 30’s, I’ve learned alot about myself, as well as grown mentally and emotionally.
    • I accomplished some goals I had set for myself.  It took me a few years to get there, but I did.
    • I was able to see some close friends multiple times this year and got to see their kids as well. :)
    • I had a freaking fantastic time at SDCC this year and I’m not ashamed to admit it. ;)
    • You realize who your true friends are when you see who sticks around after sadness, pain, and tragedy.
    • I’ve realized that some of the things I thought I wanted in life aren’t necessarily the things I did want in my life.
    • I’ve learned that home improvement projects are much easier to do if you have someone who is taller and more handy than you to help you. :)   being as short as I am sucks b/c you need a ladder for everything and I hate getting on ladders!
    • I’ve realized I don’t need alot of stuff to make me happy.  (doesnt mean i dont still love to shop!)
    • That being said, I love my PS3!!
    • I lost 20 lbs w/o even trying.  why can’t i do that for another 100 lbs? hahaha. I want to be a toothpick waif.
    • I have finally realized that my PMS gets worse as I get older.  Why is that?  how is this good?  I realize not to be around my loved ones when I’m in that kind of mood.

I think that’s enough of a run down…don’t you? hehehe.

Christmas was good for me.  I got to go home and visit the parents and grandma (who is visiting for a few months).  Last Friday we all took a short trip up to the Inn of the Mountain Gods casino.  It was a beautiful casino.  Where are my pics?  har har.  I took like 2 and they were kind of crappy.  I wasn’t in the picture taking mood last weekend.  My grandma gave my brother and I $20 each to gamble with.  After staring at the $5 blackjack table for 15 min, I decided to jump in and throw my $20 away.  3 hours later, i turned the $20 into $200.  Yeah..i know it’s not much.  But i had a really good time and i’ve never been on a hot streak like that before.  It was so much fun.   It also helps that my brother lost $100.  muahahaah!!!!  Jen was the big winna!!!   It was a great visit.  I have to admit though, I had some insane arguments w/ my parents.  Funny ones.  :)

So this is a knitting blog isn’t it?  OH WAIT!  I FORGOT ABOUT THE BAG OF THE WEEK!!

{makeup} HK Makeup case! {makeup} give props where props are due!{makeup} yes, i actually own some makeup...it's for churcH! hahaha

My friend Stephanie gave me this bag for Christmas as well.  Last week’s Coach wristlet was stuffed inside of this little bag.  She’s sneaky like that. :)   This was great to take w/ me last week.  there was so much room, i had a hard time finding things to put in it!  Yeah…that’s makeup in there.  I do wear makeup occassionally, esp if I have to go to church. :) hahaahah

OK so knitting.  My brother asked me for some fingerless gloves for him.  I was happy to obligle…until he told me “yes i want fingers” and “i want them to be black in color.”  ARGH!  I hate knitting w/ black yarn!  And why does he have to have fingers on the mitts??  why is he so picky?  I tried to talk him out of it.  No going.  i went stash diving and found the perfect color…he loved it.  So i took the yarn w/ me to gauge and measure and everything.  Then i got started.  I did most of the knitting while watching tv w/ my grandma and on the drive up to the casino.  I have issues w/ the pattern I picked for the gloves  I didn’t like how the fingers were done.  Im not sure if it was how they were done, or how I did them (if what I am saying makes sense).  But they didnt fit him.  the fabric was too stretched out on his hand.  It fit me fine.  Whoops.  He has small-ish hands like I do, but obviously his hands are bigger than mine.  oh well

{mymitt} This was supposed to be for my brother. {mymitt} knit project while back home for Christmas

See how the fingers are kind of twisty?  It drives me nuts looking at it.  But when you put them on, they dont look twisty.  It still bothers me.  :)   They fit me…so these are goign to be mine.  I have enough yarn to start another pair for my brother.  I’m going to try to talk him into NO fingers again. :) hahahah.

I decided to make another pair of mitts for someone else using Botgurl’s fantastic mitts pattern.  (She made a pair for me for my bday and i LUV THEM!!!)  I used thicker yarn and bigger needles for a bigger hand (I’m assuming).  I dont have the recipient’s hand measurements, so I’m hoping for the best.  I need to find someone at work w/ similar sized hands to see if I guessed right. :)

{orange} Almost done w/ the first one. {orange} haven't finished the thumb yet ;) {orange} it's a big mittSize comparison

Ok i think i’ve been up late enough for NYE!  Happy new years everyone!  Here’s to 2009!!

MERRRY CHRISTMAS!! oh yeah…It’s Thursday! :)

    25th December 2008

Merry Christmas everyone! :)   I hope everyone is having a good holiday so far.   I have come back home to visit my parents.  Where are they?  Hell if I know!  They went to someone’s house for some dinner.  Those people don’t give a crap that my brother and I just got home tonight and want to do family time.  NAH.  They are just bogarting all of our parents’ time regardless of what we want. :) hahah  eh.  So i’m watching my fav. Christmas movie “A Christmas Story“..something i always do on Christmas Eve. :)

I took some pics of my Christmas tree at my house and some of my ornaments for fun. :)

{xmas tree} Oh christmas tree! (ignore the rockband drum set) {xmas tree} gigantic HK ornament{xmas tree} HK w/ some tea/cocoa/coffee{xmas tree} of course I have to have a purple ornament{xmas tree} HK snowflake ornament{xmas tree} so shameful. i didn't make my own stockings so i BOUGHT SOME!

I really like my tree.  I don’t the beaded garland I used.  I think I’m going to use some sparkly knitted i-cord next year.  we’ll see.  I meant to make all my ornaments this year.  YEAHHH…that didn’t happen. :)

Some of you got my annual christmas card w/ me and Sassy on it this time.  I thought I would include a funny blooper pic of our little photo session.  It was really hard to try to get her to hold still and look nice for the camera while I shot all the pics w/ my remote.

here is a funny pic of sassy :)

look at her Elvis lip.  isn’t it hilarious?

Ok so i got a lovely package in the mail from my friend Stephanie again for Christmas!  I tell her not to give me gifts.  she doesn’t listen!!!  So imagine my surprise when i found this little bag inside of another bag.

    COACH WRISTLET!!La back!

It’s another Coach wristlet!  AAAH!  THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! :)   ME LOVES!! :)

This week I made a couple of Fuzzy Feet for some friends of mine.  They came out pretty well me thinks! :)

{booties} Pre-felting. BB is there for a size comparison  {booties} pair number 1{booties} both pairs pre-felting{booties} pair number 1 post-felting{booties} pair number 2 post-felting{booties} both pair post-felting{booties} the bottoms. :)

The leather bottoms were just scraps of leather bought at Tandy leather for like $3.  I bought a leather hole punch for $7.  ta-da!! :)   less than the cost of the Fiber Trends leather slipper bottoms.

Ok that’s it for now I guess. :)   My brother is yelling at me to get off the computer! :)

    Merry christmas everyone!! :)

    Thursday Purse-Day!!

    18th December 2008

Sorry I’m a little late posting today.  I fell asleep last night on the couch and then woke up freezing to death. :)   BRRRR!!!!

So today’s bag isn’t too exciting, but it’s pretty funny. :)

{tom} this bag is bigger than me{tom} doesn't Tom Welling look HOT?{tom} of course there is a hot chick (kristen bell) on the bag too

They gave these free at Comic Con in July and if you’ve been to SDCC, you know you go freaking nuts over anything that is free. :)   These bags are fantastic for holding all the free stuff you get there.  So it’s so nice of them to give these out.  Tom Welling on the bag makes it that much nicer.  haahha

I finished the Christmas stockings!  I kept true to my word. :)   So i finished them on Monday night.  Emailed the buyer on Tues letting her know they were done.  I got an email from her on Weds asking if I could embellish them for her.  When she originally hired me to do these, she wanted me to just knit them and not embellish.  But she admitted in her email that she didn’t want to ask me originally to embellish, but now I guess she is ok w/ asking. :)

So I’m happy w/ how they came out…and i’m not happy about blinging them out.  I’m trying not to bling too much, but then I think…well, she likes the original stocking….so i should do as the original was done.  I can’t bring myself to do it as much though.  i’m fighting it.  :) sigh.   Tell me what you think…

{stockings} The original {stockings} close up of the original{stockings} close up of the back{stockings} full length{stockings} Triple threat :) {stockings} close up of the santa's{stockings} close up of the backs{stockings} the new and the old side-by-side{stockings} look at how yellow the white got{stockings} Bling'd up. I hate the bling.{stockings} One more bling'd up than the other. I like less bling.{stockings} what is your vote?{stockings} i do like the snowflake buttons :)

What else am I knitting on?  I have a couple of pairs of Fuzzy Feet i need to have done in time for when i go back home for Christmas for a couple of friends back home.   That’s about it…for now. :)

This weekend was a weekend of socializing.  I haven’t finished editing pics of the Simpatico Christmas Party or NanC’s bebeh shower.  If you know my flickr acct, check there occasionally to see if i’ve posted if you guys really want to see. :)   I did take some pics of all the squares we did for NanC’s bebeh’s blanket.  I realized this week that I made 2 of my squares out of the wrong color of blue.  Whenever i bought the yarn, I bought a ball of a lighter blue color for a diff. project.  But i thought since it was all in the same bag, it was for the blanket.  What does this mean?  i’m a moron.  thta’s what it means. :)

{bebeblankie} so many squares...{bebeblankie} so many they are toppling over. :)

One more week till Christmas.  Is everyone ready? hahaha.   It’s no secret that I don’t buy Christmas presents for adults at this time unless I really see a good gift for someone.  So the only thing i’m stressed out about is getting things done for other people.  It’s nice.  Life has been good since I decided to do this a few years ago.   Everyone should join me and try this.  :)   hahahaa.   Next year I might start a petition…or a movement or something.  hehehe.

I’m not a TOTAL scrooge.  You know what my fav. parts of the holidays are?  Tasteful Christmas decorations and Christmas music.  I love beautiful Christmas decorations and lights.  I feel like a kid again when I see a beautiful tree.  My tree is no beautiful work of art.  And I just realized I haven’t taken a pic of the tree.  Maybe I’ll save that for next week. :)   Growing up w/ FOB parents, we didn’t know alot of the standard nursery rhymes that American kids grew up singing and knowing.  Sometimes when my friends sing nursery rhymes, I have to sit there and wonder wth they are singing.  Nope.  I grew up in a house where the father loved Christmas music so much, he used to listen to it YEAR round.  One of his fav tapes, oddly enough, was the Chipmunks Christmas tape.  He used to pop it in the tape player in the car and make us sing along.  Jingle Bells and Frosty the snowman were his FAVORITE songs besides all the Christmas hymns.

One of my fav. songs and gets me all excited that it’s the holidays is Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is You.   I remember the year this song came out…1994.  It was my first year away at college and as a family, we decided to meet up w/ my grandma, uncle and family in LA for the holidays.  We did all the LA things…Disneyland, Universal Studios, Chinatown.  I remember my brother and I were ice skating near Universal Studios and they played this song CONSTANTLY w/ the video showing above on the big screen above the ice rink.  Of course the video is cheesy and was done before Mariah Carey turned into a total ho. :)    Anyway…we just kept skating in circles loving the song.

Ok i’m heading back to bed!  I’m sooooo cold!! :)

    Thursday Purse-Day!!

    11th December 2008

Hello everyone. :)   How is it going?  I’m in another sleepy mode, so this post might be short short.

I got a new bag today.  My good friend Kathy gave it to me! :)

{kathyhk} THANK YOU, KATHY!! {kathyhk} filled up already!

I know it’s a cute little bag she got at Target in the dollar section…but i don’t care! :)   It’s the thought that counts! hahaa.  And it’s so cute!

So yes…i still haven’t finished the 3rd christmas stocking.  I’m at a point where I don’t want to knit it.  I haven’t touched it in like 2 weeks.  I know…im’ a bad person.  I will finish it VERY SOON!!!!  I need to quit getting distracted by other stuff…other knitting…other crocheting….and Rockband 2 and Guitar Hero.  :) I spent the day yesterday (day off) playing Rockband 2 for hours.  i played so long I think i’m getting carpal tunnel.  hahahaah.  sigh.  it helps it was so nice and chilly and made me stay in all day :D   But i did take a break to snap my Christmas card pics and make the Christmas cards and address them and everything.  whoopie. :)   Taking the photo was a challenge.

Anyway…this is some of the things I have done in the last few days.

I love that hat pattern that I made a couple more.  The pink one I did a few weeks ago, but totally forgot to blog about it. :)   I made the green one for Petra’s co-worker who is going through chemotherapy.  But i was asked not to make it out of wool.  So I felt Cotton Fleece would suffice. :)   I love the color!!!  I wanted to make it for my brother, but my mom told me I wasn’t allowed to b/c of the color.  Crazy old Chinese stuperstitions.

{chemo} awesome decreases {chemo} another view{chemo} cute huh? I love the green{chemo} awesomeness

{girlbf} I made one for me. :)  {girlbf} I'm not really this happy AT work. :) well...sometimes I am. ;){girlbf} my former US history teacher told me it looks like im' going under a CCTV. hahaha

Project: A Hat Fit for Boyfriend
    YarnBrown Sheep Cotton Fleece
Amount Used: half a skein?  a little more?
    Color: green
    Needle Size: US 6
    Date Started
    :  Dec 8, 2008
    Date Finished: Dec 10, 2008

The pink one is made with Decor by Patons…the same yarn I did for the Zeebee hat a few weeks ago. :)   Ignore my face in the photos.  I thought I was giving the hat to a co-worker but it didn’t fit her big fat head.  So I’m keeping it. :)   So i tried to take the pics before I thought I was giving it to her.   I’m really not THAT happy to be at work. :)

So that’s all I have for now. :) hahahaha.  I’ve been a little busy since getting back from the holidays.   I’m not shopping at all this year for presents.  I’m not feeling the Christmas love this year.  We’ll see.  :)

    Thursday Purse-Day!

    4th December 2008

Hey everyone!  How was the Thanksgiving holiday?  I ate too much (big surprise).  But I was pretty good for the most part, not gorging until I was sick.  Well, I got sick in other ways at a party…but that’s another story for another day! :)

    Here is this week’s feature!

{21} a sweet wallet!{21} look at all those slots for cards!! i can't fill them up!{21} space for change and cash{21} Forever 21. Am I too old to shop there? maybe. :D

I got this wallet at Forever 21.  I like that store’s accessories area.  Everything is so cheap there!!!!  Look how many card slots it has!

So I didn’t do that much knitting over the weekend.  I didn’t work on the stocking at all.  WTH is wrong w/ me?  I like pressure I guess. hahaha.  I did make another hat while watching tv w/ my grandma.  She kept telling me “Wow…you so fast!”   hilarious. :)

It’s a repeat hat…made w/ the same yarn I used before.  So i’m going to post up the same pictures. hahaha

{bf} The Boyfriend hat for no boyfriend{bf} this is the true color of the yarn. The previous pic is all washed out{bf} check out the awesome decreases!!{bf} true to color

Project: A Hat Fit for Boyfriend

    Color: Black
    Needle Size: US 6
    Date Started
    :  Nov 28, 2008
    Date Finished: Nov 28, 2008

One of the hats I posted last week was VERY VERY VERY well accepted when gifted. :)   Here is a pic of the little guy wearing his new hat.  He’s 7 mos old and is the size of a 1 yr old.  I’m lucky I made the hat for a 2-3 yr old (as indicated by pattern).  If i hadn’t, it would have been too small!!

    He is the King!!

    Isn’t he cute? :)

My friend Joseph informed me this week that while he was sick in bed, he wore the fuzzy feet slippers I gave him 2 years ago to warm up his feet in bed.  He swears they helped him get better.  He sent me a pic of himself wearing them.  That made me all warm and fuzzy inside. :)

    slippers in use!

Not much else going on on the knitting front. I’m still working on the shawl for my grandma.  Still working on the stocking.  I’m sleepy now! :)

    Thursday Purse-Day!!

    27th November 2008

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE! :)   Gobble gobbbbble!!

I haven’t left for the parentals’ house yet (shocking).  But I’ll be taking off tomorrow for the hogfest.  In the meantime….i’ve got another bag! :)

    Tokidoki

It’s the same style as the previous bags, so I just took a pic of the pattern for you guys. :)   Isn’t it cute?  It’s so cute my mom wants one of MY BAGS!!  She called me and told me to bring one home for her when i go back tomorrow.

    • I said NO!!  THEY ARE MY BAGS!!
    • Mom:  you have 7 of them.
    • Me:  So what?
    • Mom:  Just give me one.  you don’t need 7
    • Me:  Uhh…yes I do.  This isn’t a matter of NEED, Mom.
    • Mom:  COME ON!  just give me ONE!!!
    • (background info…when i bought all these bags, she bought one for herself.  Then she felt regret b/c she felt the bag looks too young for her and she thought she would look silly carrying around a bag w/ cartoons all over it.  I offered to take her bag off her hands if she didn’t want it and she refused)
    • Me: NO MOM! you had your chance to buy more and you refused.  You mocked me.
    • Mom:  So?  just give me ONE!!! JUST ONE!! YOU DON”T NEED SEVEN!!!
    • Me:  Yes. I do.  No bag.
    • Mom:  BE REASONABLE!!
    • Me:  nope.  they are alllllll mine! ALLLLLLLLLLL MINE!! muahahah!!

I’m not taking her a bag.  Yes, i sound like a selfish daughter, but I love them.  I only bought 2 at Christmas time and I have been seething for months about not buying more when I was out there.  So HA!! :)

What have I been working on lately?  I’ve been a bad person.  I haven’t finished the 3rd stocking.  I will take it w/ me to work on while i’m gone.  I just need to get it all done!

I made another crochet crown for my friend’s son who was born in April.  I get to meet him this weekend and I hadn’t made anything for him yet!!  WTH??

made larger b/c i have no idea how big the boy's head is

I also opted not to tack down the points onto the hat like I did w/ the last hat.  i’m beginning to have some regrets about that.
Project: Fit for a King or Queen Newborn (ravelry link)
    Yarn: Plymouth Encore
Amount Used: < 1 skein of each color
    Color: Blue/khaki (i’m lazy tonight)
    Hook Size: I (5.5mm) and H (5.0 mm)
    Date Started: Nov 24, 2008
    Date Finished: Nov 24, 2008

My mom called me late on Sunday night and told me I should make something for my Grandma (who is in town visiting for a few months).  “can you have it done by the time you get here?” WHAT?!?!?!?!?!??!  Well, i’ve been wanting to do the shapely shawlette for forever, esp since I saw P-la’s shawlette.  So I thought…i wonder if I can do it by Weds (give me time to block it).  I even emailed P-la and told her my plan.  I’m sure she was laughing at me, but she told me to go for it.  Yeah…i had serious issues w/ the pattern.  The eyelet pattern was KILLING me!!!  So after talking to Mary tonight, I’ve opted to make it garter stitch style.  It’s working up fast and nice. :)   I’m not going to have it done tonight obviously.  I’ll have it ready for my Grandma’s bday which is next month.

{popo} Guam Popo's Shawlette {popo} so far so good!

I had a busy week this week which included that Cowboys vs 49ers game on Sunday.  I have never been to a game before and it was a good game I guess.  I wasn’t understanding how some of the stuff was going on.  But i had a good time!  I will say this..i do NOT understand football culture.  I don’t understand all the high-fiving of the fans.  I don’t understand as much as ppl pay for tickets, why do we have to park half a mile away, then we have to walk down dusty areas, scoot down into a ravine, walk across a freaking highway and then repeat the process on the way back.  I’ve never walked UP a ravine before.  i did it in flip flops. HAHAHAH!  i thought i was going to lose my shoe!!  And i thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest, but I did have a good time.  I had good company…a football fanatic.  I’ve never known anyone that loved football this much.  It was kind of funny.   here are some of the pics I took from my fantastic seats:

{boys} Lower Level seats{boys} some kind of huddling{boys} some kind of play{boys} another play{boys} on my side in the endzone. :)
Have a fantastic Thanksgiving everyone!  Keep safe and don’t eat too much! :)   I’m going to try not to!

    Thursday Purse-Day!!

    20th November 2008

Hi everyone!  It’s Thursday!  Time for another bag :)

Are you guys sick of these yet?? :)

{tokback} are you sick of 'em yet? Tokidoki backpack! {tokback} close up of the fabric print

I got this bag for my friend Steph b/c she wanted a backpack.  Later on that shopping trip i saw a pink one i knew she would love more.  So this is mine now.  Like i need more bags.  But am I complaining? no. :) HAHAHAH!

I am working on the 3rd Knit-for-pay stocking.  It’s slow going b/c I’m running low on green yarn.  So i need to buy another skein before I continue.  My goal was to have it done by Thanksgiving.  I might still reach that goal. :)

What else is going on?  I made a little hat for my friend’s son who was born last month.  I get to see them next week at Thanksgiving, and I need to have a gift ready!!!

{prince} for baby Caleb {prince} super cute and super fast{prince} side view{prince} top view{prince} first attempt...too small{prince} side by side comparison{prince} see? big difference.

Project: Fit for a King or Queen Newborn (ravelry link)
    Yarn: Lion Brand Cotton-Ease
Amount Used: < 1 skein of each color
    Color: Blue/Yellow (i’m lazy tonight)
    Hook Size: I (5.5mm) and H (5.0 mm)
    Date Started: Nov 18, 2008
    Date Finished: Nov 19, 2008

So what’s up w/ the two hats?  I made the little one first.  I thought it looked reallly small.  So I took it to work to test on some heads.  Yeah…I put it on a normal sized newborn and it barely fit.  I almost had to wrestle it on the baby.  The baby that i’m giving this to will be a month old when I see him.  So I just made it bigger.  It’s very cute isn’t it?  Perfect for Prince Caleb.   The pattern is SUPER easy and this took me a couple of hours to make. :)

On Weds i was super excited about some things I was going to get in the mail.  I got them.  I was very excited when I woke up and even went to work early since I was up so early.  I scared the hell out of my co-workers. hahaha.  But look at the joyous things I got today!

awesomeness......bow before me. :)  cowboys tickets

i got a blackberry Bold.  Worship me. hAHAHAHA j.k  I was anxious about it’s arrival in the mail.  it’s very nice.  the keyboard is better and everything is better on it.  I was getting tired of my Curve b/c of it’s inability to deliever txt msgs to me alot of times.  easy…just fix it right?  nah. that’s not how I roll.  hahah!  I just buy a new phone.
I won Cowboys tickets at a raffle at work.  I got the tickets today! YAY!  I’ve never ever been to a game and yes..even though I know nothing of football (nor do i really care that much), I’m a bit excited to go and experience something I have never experienced in the 14 years I have lived here. :)

Have a good weekend everyone.  I’ll be posting next week even though it’s Thanksgiving time.  Hopefully I’ll have a 3rd stocking done by then. :)

    Thursday Purse-Day!!

    13th November 2008

Hi everyone!  How is everyone today??? :)

It’s Thursday!  So you know what that means!

    BAGBAGBAGBAGBAG

{tokitoki} another cute toki bag!! {tokitoki} close up of the fabric!

Another TokiDoki fake.  muahahah!!   Isn’t it cute?  I love the cactus person.  I don’t know why. :)

So our first yarn garage sale was pretty good.  I think I should have posted more info around so more people knew about it, but we had a good turn out.  I sold almost half of what I brought.  I made more than I imagined I would.  I still have more to sell though.  :) So we’ll see how this goes.   but here are some pics of that day.  We were lucky it was a bEAUTIFUL day.  Janice called me at 708a to wake me up and it was so cold.  But it warmed up quickly to be a nice day.  We had alot of fun just sitting and clucking like a bunch of hens like we have in the past.  :)

    {sale} So much yarn {sale} this is just MY crap{sale} sock yarn{sale} prettty day...pretty treeeee{sale} pretty day...pretty grassy knoll{sale} all my leftovers.....boooo

So i have some FO’s to show off. :)

    {nanc socks} WHOOP WHOOOP!  {nanc socks} FINALLY DONE!!!

I’m finally done w/ NanC’s socks!!! w00t!!  i can’t wait to give these to her!

    Color: 182
    Needle Size: US 1
    Date Started: Sept 30, 2008
    Date Finished: Nov 9, 2008

So this weekend I lost my mind and ran out and bought a PS3 b/c there was a deal.  What else did I get to go with it?  Guitar Hero finally.  I played alot of GH over the last 3 days.  hahahaha.  I was starting to get carpal tunnel hands.  But there was a good deal, it’s got Blu-Ray in it and it’s now my media center.  it’s f’ing awesome.  I don’t know why I fought buying one for so long. :) I also ran out and got Kung Fu Panda on Blu-Ray.  it’s so beautiful. :)

Yesterday was a day off for me, so I woke up, played 3 hours of GH, decided I had too much.  Then I, on a whim, decided to make a hat.  I knit the hat while on the exercise bike, during my mani/pedi.  I finished it in like 3 hours.  Then i decided to replay some GH songs….i played for another 3 hours.  Long day for me. hAHAHAH!

    Anyway….here is the hat!!

{bf} The Boyfriend hat for no boyfriend{bf} this is the true color of the yarn. The previous pic is all washed out{bf} check out the awesome decreases!!{bf} true to color

Project: A Hat Fit for Boyfriend
    YarnBrown Sheep Cotton Fleece
Amount Used: half a skein?  a little more?
    Color: Black
    Needle Size: US 6
    Date Started:  Nov 11, 2008
    Date Finished: Nov 11, 2008

I LOVe the decreases on it.  That was the most exciting part of the hat….knitting it up to see how it would come out.  :)   It looks fantastic on MY head. :) hahahah!

So i got so excited with above hat…i was going to knit another one in a variegated pink color for me as well.  Then for some reason…something struck me and I thought ZEEBEE.  I haven’t made a ZEEBEE in a while and i thought it would look really cute in the pink yarn I had in my hands.  i was right.  Too bad i didn’t make it the right size.

{zeebee2} this was supposed to be FOR ME!! {zeebee2} Isn't it better on her? it's too small for her even!{zeebee2} Aww.....whatcha thinkin' about, little one?{zeebee2} she's so cute I could eat her up!!

(Thanks to Tierney for being my model)

    Project: ZEEBEE!
    Yarn: Decor by Patons
Amount Used: half a skein?  a little more?
    Color: pink variegated
    Needle Size: US 6
    Date Started:  Nov 12, 2008
    Date Finished: Nov 12, 2008

So yeah…i remember after i finished this that the first time I made one of these, the length of my head isn’t suppoesd to be divided by 2 like the pattern says.  So it’s a wee bit too small for my head…or for Tierney’s head even.  and she’s 1 yrs old.  isn’t she cute?  dont you just want to squish her??? :)

I’ve also made progress on the Xmas stockings.  I’ve mostly finished 2.  why mostly?  I still need angora for the beards.  and the first stocking is missing the beard totally. :)   whoops. don’t look at it.  it’s ashamed of itself.

{2 stock} 2 stockings mostly done {2 stock} dont ask me where the santa beard on the left is. I haven't found it yet{2 stock} again...don't ask. :)

So i have one more stocking to go!

What else am I working on?  I have alot of things i want to do…but I started this tonight.  It’s a crochet shawl.  It’s super easy, but getting started was a big pain in the butt.

    Thursday Purse-Day!

    6th November 2008

Hi everyone.  Sorry this post is so late.   I got busy last night and didn’t have a chance to post before I went to bed. :)

My brain is a bit fuzzy for being up so early.  But i DO have a bag for today!

{birds} Look at all the cute birds!  {birds} Not a tokidoki fake, but still LeSportsSac. :)

I got this baby when on vacation and getting all those fake TokiDoki bags. :)   This was one of the ones among the bunch.  It’s not a Toki, but it is a fake LeSportSac. :) hahaha.   I went to 2 different stands and both of them were pushing this print really hardcore.  I caved at the 2nd place b/c she threw in a free gift if I bought from her. hahaha

I haven’t been knitting too much these last few days b/c I’ve been actually unpacking my garage and getting rid of stuff I don’t want to keep.  I sort of snapped on Monday and felt the need to purge stuff.  So i’ve made some progress on the 2nd christmas stocking (no photo…sorry) and I’ve made minimal progress on someone’s socks (again no photos). :)

So this is going to be a light, lame post this week, guys.  Sorry sorry.

One thing I guess I should mention here….some of the stuff I’m getting rid of is yarn.  ACK? WHAT?!?!?  I have alot of my stash allocated for trade/sale.  I decided a few weeks ago that I needed to get rid of it all at once rather than just a little bit at a time.  So after some discussion w/ fellow ex-Simpatico-ers, we are having a fiber garage sale this Sat starting at 9am.  Where?  Well, if you really want to go, I’ll let you email me and ask me for more details if you don’t know already. :)   I have a ton of wool to sacrifice and yes, I am getting rid of some sock yarn.  SOME.  While going through my garage frenzie on Monday, I found 5 tubs of yarn i sort of forgot about.  So yeah, my share of the garage sale might be kind of large. hahaha.  But i’m busy bagging and tagging yarn for that too, so I have good reasons to not have much knitting done this week right?  tee-hee.

    Thursday Purse-Day!!

    30th October 2008

    Hello everyone :)

It’s a fantastic Thursday.  What does that mean?? :)   NEW BAG!!

    {target hk} I got this sucker at TARGET....HALF off. $7.59!! WHOOOOOOOO!!!! {target hk} Look inside. :)

I got this sucker at Target this week…HALF OFF.  :)   WHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I’m on full-on Christmas stocking mode right now.  I need to get these suckers done before Christmas.  i’m not worry about not having 2 months to do it…i’m just worried that i will waste time then rush at the end.  So i want to get them done before Thanksgiving. :)

Thanks to Mary for her tip on the bobbins. :)   Life has been SO MUCH easier!!

    No more bobbins...THANK YOU, MARY!

half way done.  where is the fluffy beard you ask?  dont ask. :)   it’ll be there soon!

Friday is Halloween.  Anyone have plans?  i do not. HAHAHA.  I’ve never been one to celebrate Halloween b/c I never was allowed to as a kid.  My parents didn’t really know better.  Which is fine.  Last year i tried carving a fake pumpkin.  I wasn’t too good at it and it made a HUGE mess.  So this year..i decided to paint on stencils of choice.  Rockin’ right?  No.  putting these stencils on the pumpkin is a huge pain in the butt.  Then painting them on…EVEN WORSE!! then I worried if it rained, the paint would wash away.   SOOO…i decided to sharpie them on. :) HAHAHA!  I LOVE MY SHARPIES!

{paintedpumpkins} Jack Skellington and Domokun {paintedpumpkins} a screaming supposed to be pukey pumpkin{paintedpumpkins} Charlie Brown and Snoopy{paintedpumpkins} together

These were fun to do.   My fav by far is the Snoopy and Charlie Brown one. :)

This is the extent of my Halloween decorations. hehehe.  Happy halloween!
